Lab 1 Report This lab is for us to get familiar with the Artemis board, and is pretty straight forward, I just followed hand-out's instructions and all the code were given. Step 3 Blink it up Pretty straight forward LED blinking, I've set the delay to 400 ms, so the frequency is 2.5 Hz. See demo in below video. Step 4 Serial This part is to setup a serial write and read. So I can write to and read from the board via serial port. See demo in below video. Step 5 Temp Sensor There is a temperature sensor on board. I used a hair dryer to produce some heat so we can see a greater rise in temperature readings. See demo in below video. Step 6 PDM From reading the code, this step is to find out the frequency from the loudest audio source using Fast Fourier Transform, using the on board microphone. See demo in below video. Step 7 Blink when Whistle I have attached my code below, and marked where I have edited to the original PDM code to achieve blink when whistle. I have set the blink trigger frequency to between 1100 Hz and 1700 Hz. Set a flag to see if in every loop, the loudest frequency is within that range. And I slowed down every loop to sample the microphone every 10 ms. Results as shown in the video.

This example demonstrates how to use the pulse density microphone (PDM) on Artemis boards.
This library and example are heavily based on the Apollo3 pdm_fft example.
